I’m excited to announce that I recently became an Acquisitions Editor at Crescent Moon Press, publisher of romantic tales of fantasy, science fiction and the paranormal.
I’m currently accepting submissions in YA, high fantasy, and paranormal. I’m keenly interested in dystopian, dark urban fantasy, both Victorian and Western steampunk, ghost tales, contemporary gods and goddesses and fairy tales, and paranormal. While I won’t turn my head from a good vampire story, I’m hoping to see something original and fresh when it comes to paranormal. Submissions should be a romance or contain strong romantic elements. No erotic romance or erotica, please.
For consideration, please submit a query letter, your writing credentials (previous publications, writer’s group memberships, writing classes/programs) and the first ten pages of your novel, double spaced and pasted into the body of your email, to rochelle@crescentmoonpress.com. No attachments, please.
How best to grab my attention? Make sure your query letter and submission are error-free. Identify word length and accurate genre. Submit a draft you’ve revised multiple times and have had others revise. Keep prologues and backstory out of your first ten pages. If submitting YA, identify the ages of the protagonist/s.
Best of luck to you all, and I look forward to finding some wonderful new talent!
Congratulations!
Do you also allow Chick Lit to be submitted? I have a piece I’m working on now and am looking for an editor.
Hi Isabella,
If you’re looking for publication with Crescent Moon Press for a paranormal/fantasy romance, then submit using the above email.
If, however, you’re looking for private editorial services, then yes, I do freelance edit Chick Lit. Love it, in fact! I’ll email you more info using your blog’s email addy, ‘kay?
Hi! Yes, I am looking for a private editorial service. I would love to receive more information! Thank you so much!
